Sun Spotter is a free solar application that allows you to grab an image of the Sun fast. It’s a free and lightweight application that comes with a small and intuitive graphical interface and lots of additional features that you can use for your own needs.
The application lets you use multiple tools for grabbing images, you can view the images of the Sun taken by the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory satellite, and even grab images taken by the Extreme Ultraviolet Imaging Telescope.
The application also comes with the option to view an image of the Sun taken with the Large Angle Spectrometric Coronagraph at a wavelength of 171, 195, 284 or 304 angstroms.
You can also save the image on your computer, along with all other images displayed inside the application.
Sun Spotter — What is It?
The Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) is a satellite whose main purpose is to provide information about the Sun. It was launched in 1995 and comes with a dual camera system composed of the Solar Ultraviolet Measurements of Emitted Radiation (SUMER) and the Cosmic EUV Experiment (COUP) that provide images of the Sun’s corona at different wavelengths.
The SUMER section of the satellite allows you to observe sunspots and to take images of the Sun’s corona at a wavelength of 171, 195, 284 or 304 angstroms. The EUV section of the satellite, on the other hand, lets you view the Sun’s photosphere as well as the temperature distribution of the Sun’s upper atmosphere.
The purpose of this application is to show you the images of the Sun taken by the SOHO satellite and to provide you with all the additional information that is included inside the images.
Sun Spotter Overview:
The application is really small and light. It doesn’t have any customization options, but it comes with a small and easy-to-use graphical interface that you can use for controlling all tools at hand.
The application has a nice design that makes it really easy to understand. There are four main tools at hand, the Continuum tool lets you load the images of the Sun taken by the Michelson Doppler Imager, and you can use the Custom tool for getting additional images of the Sun that are not included inside the files stored in the application.
Sun Spotter is also able to view the Sun’s corona at different wavelengths, this tool lets you view the Sun’s corona taken with the Extreme Ultraviolet 384a16bd22

Keyboard macro manager. KEYMACRO allows you to record actions which are performed by a keyboard, such as: Keystrokes, mouse clicks, menu items, sound buttons, etc. KEYMACRO can be used in any application which support macros. KEYMACRO features a simple interface with which you can easily record all the actions you wish.
The recording itself can be initiated from the context menu, via hotkeys or by the system tray icon (provided that the application runs in the background). You can also pause and resume the recording. During the pause the system tray icon will display the percentage of the total recording time that has already elapsed.
Moreover, KEYMACRO can run in a number of modes:
Record all the keys pressed at the same time
Capture a single key
Capture the keys pressed together with the mouse (left button)
Capture the keys pressed together with the mouse (right button)
Keyboard macro recorder
Keyboard macros, also known as key combinations, are special combinations of keys which a user can press in order to perform certain actions in applications. For example, to open a folder, you would usually press the combination CTRL + Shift + F. Using this method, users can also do things like:
Open files with their applications
Go to a specific webpage
Open a specific program
Play a song on their MP3 player
Select a menu item
Show a menu in the context menu
Make the active window maximized
All this without having to move the mouse.
Keyboard macros can be recorded using KEYMACRO. The program is very easy to use, just record the actions you want, play back the macro, and you are good to go. If you wish, you can also edit the macros.
The recorded macros can be saved to a file, copied to the clipboard, or transferred to another computer via a USB or WiFi connection. You can also share a copy of the macros with other users.
Keyboard macros are easily defined by the user. They can be created either manually, with the help of a keyboard diagram, or automatically, by defining keystrokes which occur while the application is in focus. When the macros are recorded, they are stored in a file. To play them back, press the mouse button. If you want, you can change the position of the menu items in the menu bar or the title bar of the active window, by dragging the desired item to where you want it to appear.
